I’ve almost made a decision !!

But not yet. Here more options for a primary mobile. I’ll keep the E72 as a secondary device.

1) Samsung Galaxy S - front face camera == T-Mobile Vibrant which ships in 3 weeks for 199$

2)Dell Streak might ship in a month for 500$

3) HTC Desire with Euro 3G can be had NOW for 500$ to 550$

All of this is complicated by Bing cashback ending the end of July.

My first choice is the Dell at 500$ but with no proof of 2.2 or ship date I’m leaning toward the Vibrant at 199$… but 30$ / month for 3G is a bit painful.

Any ideas?

What now? [ again ]

I’m writing this post from the back seat of a car speeding down I5 in California. Rather than use a tumblr client I’ll compose in profimail. Anyway… I no longer love the E72. The faster CPU is wonderful but the camera and GPS are useless. My device was rebooting 5 to 10 times a day until the latest firmware update. The passion has died and I need something fresh. The N900 and E51 have been sold and the iPod Touch broke so this is my only device. Mostly because of the weak 128 meg of RAM it’s not able to keep up with my multitasking needs; profimail, gravity, ucweb, quickoffice, slick and an occasional dash of putty and mirggi. Yea. My mobile is a computer. What can I do? I imagine Nokia wont bother to ship a S60 device with 256meg of RAM until this fall. If they could suspend a process and swap the memory out to “disk” like iPhone 4.x I’d be set. Am I asking for too much? I image only the HTC Desire can pick up where Nokia dropped the ball. Is anyone else bothered it’s taking them over a year to catch up with the Samsung I8910? Do they have any interest in the flagship market? Where the hell is the N910 or N950? Where are the meego tablets? Is OPK asleep at the wheel?
