Where do we go from here?
How much time can I waste reiterating things you already know?
Mobile World Congress in Barcelona was a [ device ] wash. We all said we would see a flood of Android innovation but instead we have a few mock-ups from 3rd rate PRC based manufacturers and random design companies. Nothing concrete. Why? Perhaps we will see a major Android bump in the next 5 months then a deluge of beautiful new devices.
Until then lets think about software and services. All hardware will become comodity in time. Now it’s the feature phone. In a year or two it can just as easily be Android or Symbian Foundation devices.
Innovation should come from coders before hardware puts all in a deep coma.
