Post 3.0 digestion
Now we’ve all seen 50 iPhone 3.0 posts in our RSS feeds what’s really going to happen?
Will Touch users pay 10$ for the upgrade? Will iPhone normobs care?
The 1.5 hour video is available online and other than the slowness it’s completely bearable and interesting in more ways than a 4 line blog post could articulate.
No background apps? That’s OK. Run IM over HSPA for 12 hours and your device will be OFF. This is true even with my beloved E71.
I’m most excited about trying a landscape keyboard. The lack of universal landscape keyboard has been painful. I always feel I cannot match my typing speed on the E71.
If I can get up to speed it’s a game changer. I will upgrade to the Omnia HD if it’s less than 400$ USD. Otherwise, I’m completely open to the idea of no physical keyboard, even if the software is not usable, yet. Surely it will be at some point?
